The catalogue
Three collections, each shaped around a different kind of garden.
From a first hedge to a considered border to a fuller landscape project — each set is matched for compatible care and suited to Japanese conditions.
← Back to homeChoosing the right collection
There are three collections here, and they are deliberately different in scale and purpose. The simplest way to choose is to think about what you are hoping to achieve — a single structured border, a layered planting scheme, or a full garden project — and match the collection to that aim.
If you are not sure, the contact form is there. Send a note with your garden's dimensions, light conditions, and what you have in mind. We will help you work out which collection fits best, or whether a conversation first would be useful.

Collection Two

Collection Three
Full Landscape Planting Bundle with On-Site Planning
¥29,800

- A planning consultation reviewing your site's light, soil, and aims
- Written planting plans and arrangement suggestions

What comes with every order
Regardless of which collection you choose, a few things are consistent across all orders from Juniper Harbor View.
Written care guidance
Not generic advice — notes specific to the varieties in your order, covering what to do in the first few weeks and what to expect in the months that follow.
Root protection for every plant
Plants are packed individually with root wrapping before dispatch. The aim is that they arrive ready to go into the ground, not needing a recovery period.
Considered dispatch timing
Plants leave when conditions are suitable for the journey — not necessarily the same day the order is placed. We would rather take a little longer than send plants out in conditions that work against them.
Post-delivery questions welcome
If something about the plants or their settling-in period is unclear once they arrive, get in touch by email. We read what comes in and respond to it directly.
A guide to sunlight and soil
All three collections are matched to common Japanese garden conditions, but a few basics are worth knowing before you choose.
Full sun positions
Most conifers and junipers perform well in full sun, which makes them reliable in south-facing gardens. The starter set and shrub collection both include varieties suited to good light conditions.
Partial shade tolerance
Several varieties in the ornamental shrub collection manage well in dappled or partial shade — useful for gardens where large trees or buildings reduce direct light for part of the day.
Soil and drainage
Conifers generally prefer well-drained soil and will struggle in waterlogged ground. If your garden has heavy clay, the planting notes in each collection address how to prepare the bed before planting.
Not sure which condition matches your garden? Send a message through the contact form and describe the space — we are glad to help you think it through.
Match your garden purpose to a collection
A loose guide to which collection tends to suit different garden aims — not a rule, but a useful starting point.
Young conifer saplings spaced in a line create an effective screen over two to three seasons. The Starter Set is a natural fit — manageable scale, clear spacing guidance, and varieties suited to this use.
See offer →A layered mix of shrubs and junipers brings structure and year-round interest to a border. The Ornamental Shrub Collection includes a layout sketch to help you position the plants for good effect.
See offer →Developing a larger area from the ground up, or reshaping an established garden, benefits from a planning element as well as the plants themselves. The Landscape Bundle pairs the two.
See offer →Balconies and paved courtyards work well with smaller conifers in containers. The Starter Set is sized for this use — just mention your container dimensions in the contact form and we can confirm the right varieties.
See offer →Ready to choose, or still thinking it over?
Either is fine. Browse the individual collection pages for more detail, or send a message and we will help you work out which one fits your garden best.
